The Location This is a 100% field-based role located in the northwest suburbs of Illinois and is performed in hospitals, surgery centers & associated clinic environments. The Associate Sales Representative is expected to provide their own transportation to locations and will be reimbursed for mileage.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include : The Associate Sales Representative is an entry-level position. The incumbent will be accountable for:
Supporting elective surgery case coverage by planning, organizing, and delivering all of upcoming surgical case logistics
Identify the equipment required, prep it (e.g., surgical tray), and deliver it to hospitals, surgery centers, and SPDs (Sterile Processing Departments); note, there are 2,000 SKUs
Know and prepare the sequence of items for surgeons in advance of surgery
Once new business is closed, provides hands-on guidance and training to surgeons and staff

Assisting with inventory management:
Maintain an active inventory and place new orders for products from manufacturer
Document and communicate when a product has been used
Inspect equipment to ensure it is in good working condition
Providing guidance and training on how to use our products to:
Staff in operating rooms during surgery, e.g., guiding a surgeon through a procedure
Outside of the operating room, to surgeons, nurses, and scrub technicians

Partner on sales engagements by:
Listening for what surgeons and patients need and determining which current or new products may address their needs
Discussing new products or technology that will achieve better patient outcomes, shorten time in the operating room, improve costs, and provide other value
Customers include surgeons, hospital administration, nurses, and scrub technicians; the products and technology are orthopedic implants Required Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability to confidently and effectively observe surgical and/or medical procedures
Demonstrated administrative and computing skills using Microsoft Office Products (e.g., Office, Excel) Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree and/or a Certificate of Completion from Medical Sales College
Previous sales experience
Experience working in a health care and/or hospital setting
Demonstrated ability to apply functional knowledge of operating implants/instrumentation as well as workflow efficiencies during medical procedures
